David Warner is an Australian batsman born in New South Wales. The southpaw opener has represented his national team in 105 tests, 142 ODIs and 99 T20s and has performed brilliantly in all the three formats. 1. 135 Vs South Africa

Warner’s seventh test century came against the Proteas at the Newlands in Cape Town when the two sides locked horns in the third test of the series in March, 2014. Coming out to bat first, the bashing Australian opener faced just 152 balls to reach to this figure, smashing a dozen boundaries and a six as well. He had a very good strike-rate of over 88. Australia posted a huge total on the board, thanks to his excellent knock by Warner. Warner went on to score yet another century in the second innings as well, which earned him the Man of the Match award. Australia won the test comprehensively by 245 runs.

2. 144 Vs Pakistan

David Warner scored another outstanding century, this time at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground against Pakistan in late 2016. In reply to the visitors’ first innings total of 443 runs, Warner gave the Aussies a pretty good start. He played a quickfire knock of 144 runs in just 143 balls, having an impressive strike-rate of over 100. His innings comprised 17 boundaries and a six. He, along with the other batters played exceptionally well in the match, giving the home side a substantial first innings lead and eventually won the match as well.

3. 145 Vs South Africa

After scoring a blistering knock of 135 in the first innings, Warner played another impressive knock of 145 in the second against the Proteas at Cape Town in 2014. This time, he faced 156 balls and hit 13 boundaries and 4 sixes in this innings. He had a strike-rate of above 92, even better than what he had in the first innings. Thanks to his couple of centuries, Australia won the match comprehensively and Warner was adjudged the Man of the Match.

4. 145 Vs India

Coming out to bat against the Asian giants in the first test of the series at the Adelaide Oval in 2014, David Warner was in sublime form. He hit yet another century against the Indians. His 145-run knock came in 163 balls, comprising 19 boundaries. Like other occasions, he had a very good strike-rate of around 88 this time as well. Australians were at the top of their game and came out to be the better side eventually, as they beat their opposition by 48 runs.

5. 154 Vs Pakistan

Warner’s 22nd test century came against the Men in Green at Brisbane in November, 2019 in the first test of the series. After Pakistan were bundled out in their first innings, the Australian openers gave a strong start to the home side. This time, Warner scored a slow and steady knock of 154 runs in 296 balls, hitting just 10 boundaries in this innings. He had a strike-rate of just over 50. Australia completely dominated their opposition and won the match by an innings and five runs.

6. 163 Vs New Zealand

Another test ton for Warner at the Brisbane Cricket Ground came against neighbours New Zealand in late 2015 in the first test of the series. Coming out to bat first, Warner faced 224 balls to score 163 runs, sending the ball to the boundary rope 19 times and hitting a massive six too. This excellent innings came at a decent strike-rate of over 70. He scored yet another century in the second innings of the match as well, helping the Aussies win the match by a huge margin of 208 runs. Warner was awarded the Player of the Match for his scintillating batting display.

7. 180 Vs India

In the third test of the series against India in the 2011-12 Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Perth, David Warner scored his second test century, his first against this opposition. After bowling out the Indians for a meager total of just 161 runs in the first innings, the Australian openers gave the hosts a strong start. Warner himself scored more runs than the entire India team’s first innings total. His quickfire 180-run knock came in just 159 balls, comprising as many as 20 boundaries and 5 over-boundaries, striking at over 110. Australia posted a total of 369 in their first innings. India’s yet another poor batting display in the second innings helped the hosts win the match by an innings. David Warner was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding batting performance.

8. 200 Vs South Africa

Warner’s third test double-century came against the Proteas in 2022 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. He played this outstanding innings in the first innings of his side, facing just 255 balls. He struck 16 boundaries and a couple of sixes, and had a strike-rate of over 75. Thanks to his knock, and few other contributions here and there, the Aussies posted a mammoth total of 575 in their first innings. This huge first-innings lead helped the hosts get the better of their opponents, as they defeated the Proteas by an innings and 182 runs. Warner was once again made the Man of the Match for his excellent performance.

9. 253 Vs New Zealand

Warner scored his first-ever test double-ton against the Black Caps in November, 2015 at WACA, Peth in the second test of the series between the two cricketing nations. He faced just 286 balls to reach this milestone, hitting twice a dozen boundaries and a couple of sixes in this knock. He also had an impressive strike-rate of over 88. His innings helped the Aussies post 559 on the board in their first innings. However, the Kiwis fought back equally well and drew the match.

10. 335* Vs Pakistan

David Warner was having the time of his life against Pakistan in the second test of the series at the Adelaide Oval in November, 2019. In this match, he scored his first ever test triple-century. He was in sublime form as he faced 418 balls, striking 39 boundaries and a massive six to score an unbeaten knock of 335 runs. He had a very impressive strike-rate of over 80 as well. He scored more runs than the opponents’ team total in each of their two innings of the match. Australia comfortably cruised to victory and Warner was adjudged the Man of the Match for his grand performance.
