1. Virat Kohli

2. Sachin Tendulkar

Writing about this legend would not be enough in this short paragraph. Sachin Tendulkar is the highest run-getter in both Tests and ODIs. Tendulkar is regarded as the “God of Cricket. He is regarded as a maestro in batting techniques. He is even considered as the best batsman of all time. He scored 15921 runs and 18426 runs in Test and ODI cricket. Tendulkar had gained the number one ODI position and Test position in batting. It is believed by many legends that Tendulkar’s batting record cannot be surpassed by any batsman for a very long time.

3. Sunil Gavaskar

Sunil Gavaskar is probably the first Indian batsman who has revolutionized Indian batting technique. He is a legend of the Indian cricket. His batting shot is pitch-perfect and accuracy. He has more than 10000 runs in Test cricket and was the first batsman in Test cricket to reach 10000 runs. He had earned a rating of 916 points during his playing days. It is said that no bowler of that era was comfortable bowling as long as Gavaskar used to stay in crease. Gavaskar’s legacy is beyond comparison. Currently, he serves as a commentator.

4. Mahendra Singh Dhoni

MS Dhoni is the only Indian captain who has named three ICC trophies to his name as a captain. He was called “Captain Cool.” He was called this because of his tactical decision-making ability, even in tough times. He was a hard hitter, known for his ability to finish games. Dhoni had 4876 runs, 10733 runs, and, 1617 runs in Test, ODI and, T20I cricket, respectively. He is considered one of the finest wicket-keepers in the world cricket.

5. Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid was one of the finest test players to have ever graced the game of cricket. He was regarded as “The Wall” of the Indian cricket. Rahul Dravid had played the most balls in test cricket in Indian cricket history. The middle-order batsman has gained the highest rating of 892 points during his playing days which made him gain the 1 Test position in cricket. His batting style is an example for many youngsters.

6. Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav is currently the no 1 T20I batsman in world cricket. Made his debut in international cricket a few years back, he has attained popularity very quickly in world cricket. He is known for his unique style of playing. He is a consistent performer for team India and is a match-winner for his team. Suryakumar Yadav has attained no one position in T20I cricket recently. And he is expected to hold this position for a very long time.

7. Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag has scored 8586 runs, 8273 runs, and 394 runs in Test cricket, ODI, and T20I, respectively. He was an aggressive opener. He always dominated his opponents with his fearless style of playing. Sehwag was considered one of the best openers in the world during his time who could play any type of shot. Virender Sehwag attained the one position in test cricket in 2010 with a batting rating of 866. Sehwag was probably the best opener in test cricket. 8. Dilip Vengsarkar

Dilip Vengsarkar was one of the finest cricketers during his playing days. He was a batting stalwart. He attained no one position in test cricket with a batting rating of 837 points. From 1983 to 1987, his middle-order batting heroics had gained him worldwide popularity in test cricket. Many believed that during that period his batting style made him even surpassed the batting style of many greats like Sunil Gavaskar, Viv Richards, Allan Border and Clive Lloyd. He was a great player and a legend in cricket.

9. Gautam Gambhir

He was one of the pioneers of Indian cricket. He was an aggressive cricketer and had a hunger for runs. He always performed well for his team. Having represented team India for 58 Tests, 147 ODIs, and 37 T20Is, he scored 4154 runs, 5238 runs, and 932 runs in these formats, respectively. Despite having ups and downs in his cricketing career, he cemented his place in most of the ICC tournaments, during his playing days, where he performed terrifically well. Gambhir was the number one test batsman for quite some time, with a rating of 886 points. He dominated test cricket from 2008-2010, and many regard that period as the golden period of test cricket in India. He was even awarded ICC test player of the year during his playing days.

10. Gundappa Viswanath

Gundappa Viswanath was the first Indian to reach the number 1 test rankings. He was an artist with the bat, which made him gain this position in cricket. He had a wide array of shots and is always best remembered in test cricket for his elegant playing style. He was one of the best batsmen in India till 1975. He had slammed many elegant and mesmerizing knocks for his team during his cricket tenure.
