Batting average is the mean of runs secured by a batsman before he gets out every time he comes out to bat for his team. The average score is the ratio of total runs scored by the batter in his career to the number of times he got out. It is a notable statistic that unveils the ability of the batter and his abilities as a batter. One Day International matches evolved during the 1970s and are currently the most-watched format of the game. The Pakistan cricket team played its first ODI game against New Zealand in 1973.

1. Mohammad Babar Azam

Mohammad Babar Azam is a right-hand batter and the current captain of the Pakistan team. He made his ODI debut on 31 May 2015 against Zimbabwe at Lahore. Babar has played 83 games and scored 3985 runs in 81 innings with an average of 56.92 with 14 centuries. He is the current Number 1 ODI batsman.

2. Syed Zaheer Abbas Kirmani

Syed Zaheer Abbas Kirmani is a former right-hand batter from Pakistan who made his ODI debut on 31 August 1974 against England at Nottingham and his last game against Sri Lanka at Hyderabad on 3 November 1985. Zaheer played 62 games and scored 2572 runs in 60 innings with an average of 47.62 with seven centuries. His career best-rating of 931 is the 2nd best rating of all time in ODI history.

3. Fakhar Zaman

Fakhar Zaman is a left-hand opening batter in the current squad. He made his ODI debut on 7 June 2017 against South Africa at Birmingham. Fakhar played 53 games and scored 2325 runs in 53 innings with an average of 47.44 with six centuries including, a double century which Zaman scored against West Indies scoring, 210 not out.

4. Misbah-Ul-Haq Khan Niazi 

Misbah-ul-Haq Khan Niazi is a former right-hand middle-order batter from Pakistan who made his ODI debut against New Zealand at Lahore on 27 April 2002 and his last game against Australia at Adelaide on 20 March 2015. Misbah played 162 games and scored 5122 runs in 149 innings with an average of 43.30.

5. Mohammad Yousuf 

Mohammad Yousuf is a former right-hand top-order batter from Pakistan who made his ODI debut on 28 March 1998 against Zimbabwe at Harare and his last match on 8 November 2010 against South Africa at Dubai. Yousuf played 288 games and scored 9720 runs in 273 innings with an average of 41.71 with 15 centuries.

6. Mohammad Javed Miandad Khan 

Mohammad Javed Miandad Khan is a former right-hand top-order batter. Known as one of the greatest batsmen Pakistan ever produced, he played his first ODI match on 11 June 1975 against West Indies at Birmingham and his last game on 9 March 1996 against India at Bengaluru. Javed played 233 games and scored 7381 runs in 218 innings with an average of 41.70 with eight centuries.

7. Inzamam-Ul-Haq 

Inzamam-ul-Haq is a former right-hand batter who made his ODI debut on 22 November 1991 against West Indies at Lahore and his last match on 21 March 2007 against Zimbabwe at Kingston. One of the greatest cricketers from Pakistan, he played 378 games and scored 11739 runs in 350 innings with a batting average of 39.52 with ten centuries.

8. Saeed Anwar 

Saeed Anwar is a former left-hand opening batter in the Pakistani squad who made his ODI debut on 1 January 1989 against West Indies at Perth and his last match on 4 March 2003 against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo. Anwar played 247 games and scored 8824 runs in 244 innings with an average of 39.21 with 20 centuries.

9. Azhar Ali 

Azhar Ali is the right-hand top-order batter from Pakistan. He made his ODI debut against Ireland at Belfast on 30 May 2011 and played his last game in 2018 against New Zealand. Ali played 53 games and scored 1845 runs in 53 innings with an average of 36.90 with three centuries.

10. Yasir Hameed Qureshi

Yasir Hameed Qureshi is a former right-hand wicketkeeper batter from Pakistan who made his ODI debut against New Zealand at Dambulla on 20 May 2003. His last match was against India at Jaipur on 18 November 2007. Yasir played 56 games and scored 2028 runs in 56 innings with an average of 36.87 with three centuries.
