The ICC ratings reveal the top 10 players who have shown their dominance in the existing game. The ICC ranking table categorizes the players based on a point system worked by a series of analysis. Each player is assigned points for every ODI match that they play. Then the average is evaluated for all the ODI matches played during the concerned period. The final rating is based upon the average run of the player. This article talks about the best-rated ICC bowlers in the South African cricket team.

1. SM Pollock

Shaun Maclean Pollock is a former right-hand bowler. He made his ODI debut in 1996 against England on the grounds of Cape Town. He played 303 matches and took 393 wickets with an average of 24.50. On 14 February 2007, the batsman achieved his career-best of 917 against Pakistan.

 2. AA Donald

Allan Anthony Donald is a former right-hand fast bowler. He made his ODI debut in 1991 against India on the grounds of Kolkata. Donald played 164 matches and took 272 wickets. On 23 January 1998, the batsman achieved his career-best score of 794 against Australia.

3. Md. I Tahir

Mohammad Imran Tahir is a former leg-break googly bowler.He made his ODI debut in 2011 against West Indies on the grounds of Delhi. The batsman has played 107 matches and took 173 wickets with an average of 24.83. On 4 February 2017, he achieved his career-best score of 786 against Sri Lanka.

 4. M Ntini

Makhaya Ntini is a former right-hand bowler. On 16 January 1998, he made his ODI debut against New Zealand. Ntini has played 173 matches and took 266 wickets with an average of 24.65. On 25 January 2004, he achieved his career-best of 782 against West Indies.

5. CR Matthews

Craig Russell Mathews is a former right-hand bowler. He made his ODI debut in 1991 against India on the grounds of Gwalior. Matthews played 56 matches and took 79 wickets with an average of 25.00. On 16 April 1996, the batsman achieved his career-best score of 768 against Pakistan

 6. Fanie De Villiers

Fanie de Villiers is a former right-hand bowler. On the grounds of Cape Town, he made his ODI debut in 2004 against India. Villiers played 83 matches and took 95 wickets with an average of 27.74. On 29 September 1996, the batsman achieved his career-best that was 765. The opponent team was Pakistan.

 7. DW Steyn

Dale Willem Steyn is a former right-hand bowler. On 17 August 2005, he made his ODI debut against Asia 11. Steyn played 125 matches and took 196 wickets with an average of 25.95. On 8 December 2013, the batsman achieved his career-best that was 746 against India.

 8. LL Tsotsobe

Lonwabo Lopsy Tsotsobe is a former left-hand bowler. On 30 January 2009, he made his ODI debut against Australia. Tsotsobe took 94 wickets in 61 matches at an average of 24.96 with an economy of 4.75. On 3 March 2012, he achieved his career-best of  743 against New Zealand.
