In 2015, the West Indies faced South Africa in the second T20I of the series in Johannesburg. The West Indies won the toss and chose to bat first, restricting South Africa to 231 runs. In the chase, the Windies reached the massive target in 19.2 overs, with Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels putting up a 152-run partnership for the second wicket.

2. 145 Runs Against South Africa

In 2007, the West Indies played against South Africa in the first match of the ICC World Cup. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first, limiting the West Indies to 205 in 20 overs. Chris Gayle and Devon Smith scored 145 runs for the opening wicket, with Gayle scoring a memorable hundred.
