The level of fitness has improved tremendously in cricket all around the globe. Fitness is a prerequisite and a given to play at the international level of all sports. Diet, which is fitness-centric, has changed as awareness and consciousness have increased. The popular notion that the need for meat for sheer power and better health has now been countered by many players' 100 percent vegetarian diets.

1. Peter Siddle

Peter Siddle became a vegetarian very early in his cricket career. One of the major influences in this decision-making was his partner. It was much later that he became a vegan. Before the 2013 Ashes in England, Peter Siddle turned vegan. However, his fitness wasn't the only motivator for him. Peter Siddle stated that he felt very deeply about animal cruelty. That was one of the reasons for him to change from being a hardcore meat lover to accepting a vegan lifestyle.

Pujara has become one of the essential pillars of the Indian cricket team. He is a significant reason for the team's success in recent years, both in India and abroad.
