The IPL is one of the most sought-after cricket leagues in the world, with even international cricket coming to a halt for the IPL. Competing in the IPL is even a privilege that few players enjoy, but getting to celebrate your birthday while playing in this league is a dream come true for any cricketer. Let us now look at ten players who get to enjoy their birth anniversary while playing in the IPL during  April and May.

1. Rohit Sharma

India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, celebrates his birthday on April 30th. He has been a part of the Mumbai Indians’ setup since 2011 and has led the team to 5 IPL trophies. His exploits with the club and the national team have made him a household name in India, and he will be looking forward to leading MI to another title after an abysmal performance last time out.

2. K.L Rahul

The current Indian vice-captain was born on the April 18th. He is one of India’s star batters and is also a keeper. He has been a part of RCB and has led Punjab, though he is now the captain of the newly formed LSG. The opener has been the star batsman in his IPL teams in the past few years, and his team will again count on him to lead them to victory.

3. Andre Russell

Dre Russ is a person that needs no introduction from cricket fans. The Jamaican celebrates his special day on April 29th. The hard-hitting finisher has been an integral part of the Knight Riders since they bought him in 2014. His death bowling abilities also contribute to his worth in franchise cricket worldwide. KKR fans hope he again turns up for them in this season’s IPL.

4. Jofra Archer

The English speedster was born in West Indies on April 1st. Archer's glamorous start to international cricket includes an Ashes series that none forget. He initially succeeded at the IPL with Rajasthan, but injuries have prevented him from playing for the last two years. Even with his availability uncertain, MI bough Archer in the 2021 IPL auction. Archer will finally be able to throw on the MI jersey this season and will be hoping for an excellent start to life at Mumbai.

5. Rahul Tewatia

Part of the IPL winning team, Gujarat, Rahul Tewatia will enjoy his joyous occasion on May 20th. Who can forget the guy’s five sixes against Cottrell in a momentum-changing inning against Punjab? Since then, Tewatia has done a tremendous job as a finisher. He will look to continue his brilliant performances in the IPL this season.

6. Sikander Raza

The Zimbabwean cricketer was born on April 24th in Pakistan. Raza was one of the nominees for the Sir Garfield Sobers award. The off-spinning all-rounder has had a stellar 2022 with three player-of-the-match awards in the T20 World Cup capped off by an IPL contract with Punjab Kings. He will look to showcase his talent at his first appearance in the league.

7. Marco And Duan Jansen

The Proteas twins were born in the last year of the 20th century on May 1st. Marco has been retained by SRH despite his average showing last season. Duan will appear for the first time with MI this season. Both left-arm all-rounders should take their chances at the IPL with the opportunity for a South African T20 spot also up for grabs.

8. Finn Allen

The Kiwi power-hitter has a McCullum-type flare. He is part of the RCB setup this season. He will celebrate his birthday on April 22nd. The youngster joined RCB last year and has been a backup in the squad for their captain Faf. Even though chances are bleak for Finn, he should look to maximize his opportunities at the club.

9. Akeal Hosein

The Windies all-rounder was born on April 25, 1993. The left-arm spinner who has never been a part of an IPL team will be a part of the Orange Army, SRH, this season. The left armer is more than handy with the bat as he has proved on many occasions. Even with his abilities, Hosein will expect to be on the bench for most parts of the season.

10. Jason Behrendorff

The left-arm Australian pacer celebrates his special day on April 20th, in the middle of the IPL. The Aussie started his IPL career at MI in 2018 but did not get a chance due to injury.
