Though auctions are held each year where the current eight teams select players for their teams, there are a few favourite players of each team who have been playing for them for several seasons. 1. Virat Kohli
In first place is the former Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. He joined RCB in 2008 after the victory of the Indian U-19 team, and since then, he has only played for RCB. So far, he has played over 200 matches in the IPL for RCB.
2. MS Dhoni
Popularly referred to as the “Cool Captain,” he occupies the second spot on this list. Apart from 2016-17, when Dhoni played for Rising Pune Supergiants, as CSK was banned then, he has always been seen in the Yellow jersey. Under his leadership, CSK has won the IPL title five times, making him the most successful captain in the IPL.
3. Kieron Pollard
Next, we have the Caribbean player, Kieron Pollard. He is a wonderful all-rounder who has remained a part of the MI team since 2010. He has so far played 187 matches for MI.
4. Rohit Sharma
The next person on this list is the current Indian captain, Rohit Sharma. He has often led the MI into the qualifiers, after joining it in 2011. He has played 177 matches for it so far.
5. Suresh Raina
Moving on to Suresh Raina, whom we have seen in the yellow jersey plenty of times. He has been a part of 176 matches while playing for CSK.
6. Ravindra Jadeja
The next person on this list is the most famous all-rounder of the current Indian team, Ravindra Jadeja. Though initially, he was a part of other teams, after joining CSK in 2012, he has remained one of the favorites of the CSK team. So far, he has played 142 matches for CSK.
7. Harbhajan Singh
On the seventh spot is the former Indian spinner, Harbhajan Singh. Throughout the IPL season, he has played for three teams: KKR, MI, and CSK; however, he has played for MI the most, 136 matches.
8. Ambati Raydu
In the eighth position is Ambati Raydu. In total, he has played around 190 matches for a couple of teams, but out of this, he has played mostly for MI in the IPL, which includes 114 matches.
9. Robin Uthappa
The ninth person on this list is the former Indian wicketkeeper Robin Uthappa. In total, he has played for six IPL teams, but amongst these, he has played the most matches for KKR, which is 86.
10. Shikhar Dhawan
The last person on this list is the absolute favorite Indian opener, Shikhar Dhawan. He has always been a notable player and has scored innumerable runs. Therefore, in total, he has played 206 matches in the IPL. However, amongst all of this, he has played the most games for SRH.
