10. Sri Lanka (2018)

This game was a part of the Nidahas Trophy 2018. It was a league stage game between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The game was at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka batted first, and made over 210 runs. Their score was the highest in the venue. However, what followed, surprised everybody. Bangladeshi keeper-batsman, Mushfiqur Rahim, made a 35-ball 72, despite suffering from cramps. His knock ensured that Bangladesh chased the target successfully. Sri Lanka scored 214 in this match.

9. Australia (2021)

Australia toured New Zealand for a five-match series. The entire series was, pretty much, a high-scoring one. In the second game, New Zealand batted first, and made 219. Australia, in response to the chase, was almost done and dusted, after which, Marcus Stoinis started going ballistic. He got out when Australia needed nine off two balls. Hence, Australia lost the match. His 37-ball 78 went in vain. Australia scored 215 in this match.

8. Ireland (2022)

This match was played in Ireland. Ireland faced India, in this second T20I of the series. The size of the boundaries was relatively small, and hence, the run flow was enormous. India batted first, and made 225 on the back of Deepak Hooda’s maiden T20I century, and a 42-ball 77 from Sanju Samson. Ireland, during its chase, had gone strong. Ireland needed eight off the final three balls to win the game, but they failed to do so. Ireland scored 221 in this match.

7. South Africa (2020)

This game was the final one, of the three-match T20I series in the England tour of South Africa. The game was a decider, as both won a game each. South Africa made over 220, with a critical performer being Heinrich Klaasen, who scored a 33-ball 66. However, during the chase, Jos Buttler, Johnny Bairstow, and Eoin Morgan, each scored a half-century, as England chased the target successfully in the final over. South Africa scored 222 in this match.

This was the first game of the four-match series between Serbia and Bulgaria. Serbia batted first, and scored over 220, but Bulgaria chased it down successfully. Serbia scored 225 in this match.

5. South Africa (2016)

This was a group stage game between South Africa and England in the 2016 T20 World Cup. England eventually got to the finals of the tournament. In this game, South Africa batted first, and scored over 220, due to three batsmen, Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock, and, JP Duminy scoring half-centuries. South Africa hosted West Indies in this series. In this game, South Africa batted first, and their captain Faf du Plessis, made a terrific century, which led them to a 230+ score. 2. New Zealand (2018)

New Zealand hosted Australia and England for a T20I tri-series in 2018, and this game was a part of it. The match was between New Zealand and Australia. New Zealand batted first, and made over 240 runs, mainly due to Martin Guptill’s century. However, a 121-run opening stand from the Australian openers, David Warner, and D’Arcy Short, took Australia past the victory line. New Zealand scored 243 in this match.

1. India (2016)

India played a T20I match in the USA, as a part of a bilateral series between West Indies. This game had a lot of runs getting piled upon, with West Indies batting first, and making 245. Chasing it, despite being a colossal total, India missed it just by a whisker, as KL Rahul’s century propelled the Indian score, as much as possible. India scored 244 in this match.
