Namibia is in the Southwest region of Africa. The Namibia cricket team has been an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1992 and is an associate team in international cricket. The African nation acquired the ODI status in 2019 when they finished as the champion team in the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two. They obtained the T20 international status in 2019 when the ICC granted the T20 status to all its members, commencing from 1st January 2019.
