Yashasvi Jaiswal, a panipuri seller becoming the hot topic of Indian cricket, has come a long way, debuting for India at 21 years old. The Third highest score by an Indian in his debut, the most balls faced by an Indian batter in his debut, and the joint-fastest T20 fifty. He has had a wonderful career with him to debut for India's ODI and T20 squad, and he is part of the Asian games, with some exciting players.

1. UP Born

Yashasvi Jaiswal was born on December 28th, 2001, in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. He is not Mumbai born, but he plays for them domestically as he moved there when he was just ten years old, and that is where he got his cricket training in the Azad Maidan.

2. Pani-Puri Seller 

He had to sell pani-puri to get some money, he used to work in a daily soap before, but the owner removed him because he was not working there properly, and he had to live with the groundsman of the Azad Maidan, where he sold pani-puri.

3.  Jwala Singh

The coach, father, and guardian who saw potential in the young guy whose age was just 12, Jwala Singh, had an academy in Santacruz, where he got Jaiswal to train, but gave him a place to stay as he didn’t have a proper accommodation to live, and made him meet Wasim Jaffer who gave him motivation. Jwala Singh became his legal guardian and had a power of attorney.

4. Broken Records At 12 Years Old

Yashasvi Jaiswal broke a record on January 2014 when he was representing Anjuman Islam High School against Raja Shivaji Vidyamandir in a Giles Shield interscholastic match. He scored 319 runs in an innings and had a bowling statistic 13/99, as he had the record for the highest score and most wickets in a game in a competition at the high school level.

5. Youth Asia Cup 2018 

Youth Asia Cup was a tournament held in Bangladesh as eight teams participated in that; India won the finals and the tournament. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 318 runs in four matches at an average of 79.5, which earned him a Player of the Tournament award. In the same tournament, no other batter even scored more than 200 runs.

6. Youngest Double Century In List-A 

Yashasvi hit 203 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite Group A game against Mumbai and Jharkhand at 17 years, 292 days. At the KSCA Cricket Ground, his 154-ball innings, which included 17 fours and 12 sixes, helped Mumbai score 358/3. Yashasvi was the third batsman to get a double century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

7. Domestic Debut

He debuted for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy against Chhattisgarh in 2019, and in the same year, he debuted in Vijay Hazare Trophy against the same team. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he scored 113, 22, 122, 203, and 60*. He has played 16 matches till now in Ranji Trophy and, has scored ten centuries and two fifties totaling up to 2016 runs; the highest is 265, and he averages 84.

8. Under-19 World Cup

He had one of the best under-19 world cups performances ever by a player; he was the highest run-scorer in the tournament as he scored 400 runs at an average of 133.4 with a century against Pakistan in the semi-final, India could not win the tournament, but Jaiswal won the player of the series, his performance was awe-inspiring.

9. IPL Auction

After his impressive world cup performance, he was the next massive thing in Indian cricket, and that is what happened during IPL auctions when he was picked up by Rajasthan Royals for 2.4 crore, twelve times his base price of 20 lakhs. RR retained him before the mega auction in 2022 for four crores.

10. IPL 

In the 2020 edition, he could just play three matches, and scored 40 runs. In the next two editions, he would play ten games each and score 249 runs and 258 runs in the 2021 and 2022 editions at an average of 24.90 and 25.80, respectively. IPL 2023 was his best year as he opened with Jos Butler to become a destructive opening pair; he scored 625 runs at an average of 48.08 which included five fifties and a century against MI in Mumbai, which got him emerging player of the season award.
