2. Vivian Richards

Sir Vivian Richards played 36 ODI matches against England starting from 1976. Viv was a permanent member of the Windies ODI side. In the 36 ODIs, he scored 1619 runs at an average of 57, making him one of the best batters against the English team. Viv hit 11 half-centuries and three centuries against them with the best score of an unbeaten 189.

3. Desmond Haynes

Desmond Haynes comes at number three on this list. He played his first ODI match against England in 1979 and was a part of 35 ODI matches against them. He scored 1185 runs at an average of 37 and hit six half-centuries and two centuries. Haynes' highest score against them was an unbeaten 138.

4. Gordon Greenidge

Gordon Greenidge first appeared against the England ODI team in 1976. He made 30 appearances against the English side in the ODI matches. The former West Indies opening batter scored 958 runs at an average of 35. Gordon hit six half-centuries against them in his career with the highest score of an unbeaten 98. His last ever ODI also came against England.

5. Richie Richardson

Richie Richardson made his first appearance against the English ODI side in 1984. He went on to play 35 ODI matches against them and scored 957 runs. 6. Shivnarine Chanderpaul

Shivnarine Chanderpaul made his first appearance against the England ODI team in 1997. He made 25 appearances against them and scored 908 runs. The legendary left-handed batter scored the runs at an average of 47 with the help of five fifties and two tons. Shiv's best performance against them came in the form of an unbeaten 116.

7. Brian Lara

Brian Lara played his first ODI game against England in 1991. He went on to play for 29 games against the English side in the ODIs. The prince of Port Spain scored 795 runs at an average of 30 against them with the help of six half-centuries and one century. His best performance against the Brits was a 110. Lara also played his final One Day match against England.

8. Carl Hooper

Carl Hooper first played against the England ODI team in 1987. The former West Indies allrounder was a part of 25 matches against the English ODI side. Hooper scored 693 runs at an average of 36 with the help of three half-centuries and a century against them. Hooper's highest score was an unbeaten 100.

9. Dwayne Bravo

The famous West Indies allrounder appeared in 26 ODI matches against the England team. He first played against them in 2004, which was also his debut ODI match. The champion player scored 674 runs at an average of 42 with the help of four fifties and one hundred. His best performance came in the form of an unbeaten 112.

10. Ramnaresh Sarwan
