ODI cricket is an old format. In this format, each team gets to play 50 overs and match is generally finished in a day. Most of ODIs happens in a bilateral series. A bilateral series is played between two teams, and the ground could be of one team or a neutral venue. Most of the series generally have 3 ODI matches, but more are also played. In this article, we are going to look at the bowlers who have taken the most number of wickets in a three-match ODI series.

1. Liam Plunkett – 10

Liam Plunkett was one of the most skillful bowlers for the English national team. He was also an economical bowler. In the 2016-17 series between West Indies and England, he played three matches and took ten wickets. He bowled 24.1 overs and gave 99 runs. His best bowling performance was 4/40.

2. Arshdeep Singh – 10

Arshdeep Singh is a young bowler from the India team. He is primarily known for his performances in the IPL. In the 2023-24 series between India and South Africa, he played three matches and took ten wickets. He bowled 27 overs and gave 95 runs. His best bowling performance was 5/37.

3. Imran Tahir – 10

Imran Tahir is one of the best leg-spinners of all time. His biggest strength in his bowling was googly, which he executed flawlessly. In the 2018-19 series between South Africa and Zimbabwe, he played three matches and took ten wickets. He bowled 21 overs and gave 91 runs. His best bowling performance was 6/24.

4. Rashid Khan – 10

Rashid Khan is considered as the best leg-spinner around the world. He is one of the greatest players ever from the Afghanistan team. In the 2016-17 series between Afghanistan and West Indies, he played three matches and took ten wickets. He bowled 18.4 overs and gave just 44 runs throughout the series. His best bowling performance was 7/18.

5. Lockie Ferguson – 11

Lockie Ferguson is one of the fastest bowlers of the New Zealand cricket team. He is seen playing in internationals as well as domestic leagues. In the 2018-19 series between Pakistan and New Zealand, Ferguson took 11 wickets. He played three matches and bowled 29.2 overs, giving away 141 runs.

6. Adam Zampa – 11

Adam Zampa is one of the best spinners of the Australian team. He is a widely regarded player in both international and domestic leagues. In the 2022-23 series between Australia and England, Zampa took 11 wickets in 3 matches. He bowled 25.3 overs and gave 131 runs. His best bowling performance was 4/31.

7. Mitchell Starc – 11

Mitchell Starc is one of the most dangerous bowlers of the current generation. He is widely regarded as a fierce bowler. He took 11 wickets in the 2021-22 series played between Australia and West Indies. He bowled 27.1 overs and gave 117 runs. His best bowling performance in this series was 5/48.

8. Waqar Younis – 11

Waqar Younis was one of the fierce bowlers from the Pakistan team. He was known for his immense speed and ability to swing. He took 11 wickets in the 1990-91 series between Pakistan and New Zealand. He bowled 20 overs in that series and gave just 53 runs. His best performance in this series was 5/11.

9. Mashrafe Mortaza – 12

Mortaza is a former captain of the Bangladesh team. Mortaza played three matches in the series played in 2006-07 between Bangladesh and Kenya, and took 12 wickets in them. 10. Mustafizur Rahman – 13
