1. FAF Du Plessis 

With the departure of Shikhar dhawan Delhi capitals is looking for a strong experience opening batsman who can partner Shawn at the top. Faf has shown an impressive consistency in the last few seasons. Delhi will try to get him in the auction. He can make a deadly combination with Shawn at the top of the batting order. Faf can help team with his leadership skills also.

2. Sam Curaan 

Every T20 teams has dream to have one top-quality all-rounder in their team. Sam curran can be that guy for Delhi. He has impressed a lot in the last two seasons of the IPL while playing for the CSK. Sam is a flexible batsman, if needed he can open the inning also. He has named one hat trick while playing against the delhi itself.

3. Rahul Tripathi 

Delhi's capitals has lost their one of the biggest strength in the form of Shreyas Iyer. They couldn't able to retain the star Indian player. However, there are many alternatives of Iyer are coming in the auction, one of them is Rahul. Delhi might try to get him for number three position. Rahul is a technically strong player, and he can do so much if he gets a chance.

4. Johnny Bairstow
