T20 is one of the three formats in cricket. It is the shortest format in cricket, consisting of 20 overs in both innings. Since it is a 20-over game, players have minimal balls to score runs or take wickets. Therefore, it becomes vital for any player to score massive runs in limited balls or take quick wickets to put the opponent under pressure. For a batter, scoring a century is always unique, and if it comes in a T20 format, it becomes more special and memorable. But some renowned cricketers have never been able to score a century in T20 cricket. Thus, let’s look at some cricketers who have not scored a single century in T20 cricket.

1. Kevin Pietersen

In the first place is an English batsman, Kevin Pietersen. He was famous for playing quick and aggressive shots. He played for England from 2005 to 2014. In 2012, Pietersen was named as England’s most significant modern batsman by The Guardian, one of the prominent British newspapers. Besides, he was honored with the MBE for his massive contribution to cricket. Further, he has played all three formats of cricket. However, despite being a remarkable batter, Pietersen has never scored a century in T20 cricket.

2. Jos Buttler

The following person on the list is an English wicket-keeper Jos Buttler. He played his first match for England in 2011. He is a right-handed batsman who does wicketkeeping as well. He has represented England in all three formats of cricket. Due to his tremendous services to cricket, Buttler received an honor from the British monarchical order in 2020. Though, he is renowned for scoring massive runs in T20, he is yet to score a century in T20 cricket.

3. Virat Kohli

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli occupies the third place on this list. He played his first international match for India in 2008. He is one of the highest run-scorers for India in all the formats. He was honored with the Arjuna Award, the Padma Shri Award, and the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award by the Indian government. While he has scored multiple centuries in ODI and Test cricket, he has not scored a single century in T20 cricket.

4. Kane Williamson

At the fourth place is Kane Williamson. He made his international debut for New Zealand in 2010. He is a right-handed batsman. He is famous and is appreciated for his calm and composed behaviour on-field. Under his captaincy, New Zealand won the ICC World Test Championship Final in 2021. He even won the Player of the Tournament award in the 2019 World Cup. Williamson is considered one of the best batters in Test cricket. However, Kane is yet to score a century in T20 cricket. He has scored around 15 half-centuries but not a single century.

5. AB De Villiers

At the fifth place is a South African batter AB De Villiers. He is widely known as MR. 360 for batting in unusual and magnificent style. He is a right-handed batsman who played his first international match in 2004 and retired from cricket in 2018. He played the role of a wicket-keeper as well. De Villiers was deemed the most destructive batsman of the current generation. He holds the record for scoring the fastest half-century and fastest century in ODI cricket. However, surprisingly De Villiers has never scored a single century in T20 cricket internationally.

6. Niroshan Dickwella

Niroshan Dickwella, former Sri Lankan cricketer, is the sixth Player who has never scored a century in T20 cricket at an international level. He is a left-handed batsman who does wicketkeeping as well. He played his first international match in 2014. In 2016, cricket board of Sri Lanka gave him the Emerging Cricketer of the Year Award for his remarkable performance in cricket. Though he has represented Sri Lanka in all three formats, he is yet to score a century in T20 cricket.

7. Dennis Lillee

At the seventh place is a former Australian cricketer, Dennis Lillee. He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm bowler. He played for Australia from 1971 to 1984. Lillee represented Western Australia at the domestic level. In 2009, Lillee became a part of the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. Despite a successful career, he never scored a century in T20 cricket.

8. Deryck Murray

The next Player is a former Windies cricketer, Deryck Murray. He played his first international match in 1963 and retired from cricket in 1980. He played the role of a wicket-keeper. Murray was a vice-captain of the West Indies cricket team when it lifted the ICC World Cup trophy in 1975 and 1979. In 1992, Murray played the role of the match referee in three ODISs. Furthermore, Murray became the President of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board. Despite multiple achievements, Murray never scored a century in T20 cricket.

9. Malcolm Marshall

Malcolm Marshall occupies the ninth position. He was a Barbadian cricketer. Marshall was primarily a right-arm fast-bowler. He played for the West Indies from 1978 to 1992. In 1999, he died due to colon cancer. The West Indies Cricket Board inaugurated a trophy in his memory. He could not score any century in T20 cricket at the international level.

10. Shane Warne

The last Player; in this list is a former Australian cricketer, Shane Warne. He played for Australia from 1992 to 2007. He is one of the most renowned bowlers in the history of cricket. He was popularly known as the King of Swing. In 2005, Warne received the Overseas Sports Personality of the Year Award by the BBC. Furthermore, in 2009, he received the lifetime membership of the MCC. Moreover in 2011, a bronze statue of Shane Warne was unveiled outside the MCG. Warne is regarded one of the prime bowlers in the history of cricket. In addition to this, Warne was good at batting as well. However, he could not score a century in T20 cricket.
