3. David Llyod

David Llyod was an England all-rounder who played 9 test matches for England, he debuted in 1974 against India, and in his second innings, he scored 214 not out, he was picked for the ashes for his next series, but the list of disappointments led to him from dropping from the test sides. He scored one century and took zero wickets in his short test career.

4. Umar Akmal 

Umar Akmal is a Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter who in, his debut match against New Zealand, which had bowlers like Shane Bond, and Daniel Vettori, scored a century where other batters failed even touch 30, this was the reason he was getting picked in the team due to the middle order problem being solved for the Pakistan team, but after playing 16 matches he was dropped for his poor form and just a century and six half-century to his name.

5. Steve O’ Keefe 

Steve O’ Keefe is an Australian left-arm unorthodox bowler, who impressed the selectors with his performance in Sheffield Shield, taking 41 wickets in a season; it got him a chance to the Australian team where he couldn’t perform for the first few matches, and he,got injured, returning to the international cricket he played with Nathon Lyon in 2017 against India in Pune where he took 12 wickets for 77 runs in a match which was the best figure ever by a visiting spinner in India. His alcohol addiction led to his dropping out of the team.

6. Jasu Patel 

Jasu Patel was an Indian right-arm off-spinner, he debuted for India in 1955 ,but his most memorable performance came in 1958 against Australia, where took nine wickets in an inning and a total of 14 wickets in the match, which was the highest wickets taken in a game by an Indian at that time, but he couldn’t show that performance in other six games he played for India.

7. Bob Massie

Bob Massie has one of the best debuts a medium pacer will ever want, he debuted for Australia against England in Lord’s, where he took eight wickets in innings totaling 16 wickets for 137 runs, but he was just dropped after just six matches due to his poor form in domestic and international cricket.

8. Stuart Law

Stuart Law was an Australia top-order batter who just played a match for Australia in 1995 against Sri-Lanks where he scored 54 not out but did not bat again in a test match which led to him having no batting average. He constantly performed in the England domestic where he scored 1000 runs for 4 years straight but still could not get a chance.

9. Rodney Redmond

Rodney Redmond was a New Zealand left-hand batter who scored a century and a half-century in his debut match against Pakistan in 1972 but he could not continue his test career due to his poor eyesight, and the new contact lens troubled him for the next tour, which did not go well for him and eventually led for his drop out from the team.

10. Phil Emery

Phil Emery was an Australian wicketkeeper, but this one is different from others; he did not perform with bat or ball but performed well with his wicketkeeping where he took five dismissals in his only test match against Pakistan in 1994, replacing injured Ian Healy but could not get any more chance but had a good First-class career in Australia.
