Pakistan Super League (PSL) was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board in 2016. The PSL matches were first held in Dubai and then shifted to Pakistan in 2020. Founded in 2015, Islamabad United (IU) is a franchise team held by Leonine Global Investments via its sports entity Leonine Global Sports, owned by Amna Naqvi and Ali Naqvi. The team competes in PSL. Islamabad United has won two PSL titles to date. They won the first PSL championship, beating Quetta Gladiators in the final, and their second title in the third season of the PSL after beating Peshawar Zalmi in the finale by three wickets.

Alex Hales was declared man of the match for scoring 46 runs in 21 balls.

7. Islamabad United V/S Multan Sultan

Multan Sultan came to bat on 1 February 2022 and scored 217 runs losing five wickets. Tim David scored 71 runs. Islamabad United came to chase the target and scored 197 runs and go all out. Shadab Khan scored 91 runs but failed to chase the target and lost the match by 20 runs.

8. Islamabad United V/S Peshawar Zalmi

Peshawar Zalmi batted first and set a target of 206 runs for Islamabad United. Mohammad Haris scored 70 runs for his team. This match was played on 17 February 2022 in Lahore. Islamabad United came to chase the target but scored only 196 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 10 runs. Azam Khan batted well and scored 85 runs for the United.

9. Islamabad United V/S Peshawar Zalmi

This match was played in Rawalpindi on 7 March 2020. Shadab Khan scored 77 runs which helped Islamabad United score 195 runs. However, the match was interrupted by rain. The rain started when the ninth over was about to start. Till that time Zalmi scored 85 runs and in the end, they won the match by seven runs due to the D/L method.

Karachi Kings batted first and scored 190 runs losing four wickets. Babar Azam scored 81 runs batting first. Islamabad United came to chase the target and with the help of Iftikhar Ahmed batting who scored 71 runs, his team chased the target in 18.4 overs scoring 191 runs and won the match by eight wickets.
