The Big Bash League is a domestic league played in Australia. Similar to the IPL, here the teams consist of players from different nations. The BBL, which was founded by Cricket Australia, was first played in 2011. Currently, it has eight teams, among which the Perth Scorchers have won title the maximum number of times. Apart from the teams, it has produced some marvellous batters and bowlers, who have created records in the history of the BBL. So, let’s look at the highest wicket takers in the BBL.

1. Sean Abbott

The first person to top this list is Sean Abbott. He is a right-arm fast- medium bowler who plays for Australia. In the BBL, he has played for the Sydney Sixers as well as the Sydney Thunder. In 109 matches, he has taken 154 wickets.

2. Andrew Tye

The next person in this list is another right-arm fast-medium Australian bowler. He has played for the Perth Scorchers and the Sydney Thunder. He has taken 144 wickets so far.

3. Kane Richardson

On the third position is Kane Richardson, who debuted for Australia in 2013. He is a right-arm bowler who has played for the Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades in the BBL. He has taken 129 wickets in 102 matches.

4. Ben Dwarshuis

On the fourth spot is left-arm Aussie bowler Ben Dwarshuis. He has taken 117 wickets in 95 matches with an economy of 8.

5. Adam Zampa

Next, we have Adam Zampa, who has taken 114 wickets in 99 matches. He has in total played for three BBL teams: the Adelaide Strikers, the Melbourne Renegades, and the Sydney Thunder. He has an economy of 7.2.

6. Ben Laughlin

On the sixth spot is right-arm Aussie bowler Ben Laughlin. He has taken 111 wickets in 96 matches while playing for the Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Stars, and Hobart Hurricanes.

7. Jason Behendroff

The next person in this list is the one who has taken 107 wickets in 86 matches while playing for the Perth Scorchers. He has an economy rate of 6.8.

8. Daniel Sams

On the eighth position is Daniel Sams, who has taken 100 wickets so far in all the 76 matches he has played. His economic rate is 8.45.

9. Michael Neser

Next, we have Michael Neser, who has taken 99 wickets in 88 matches. He has played for the Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat with an economy of 8.4.

10. Rashid Khan

The last person in this list is the famous spinner from Afghanistan, Rashid Khan. He is the only non-Australian bowler to make it to this list. He has taken 98 wickets in 69 matches.
