The one-day international format is one of the white ball formats in the history of cricket. If we trace the history, one day format was played in 60 over format, and later, it was reduced to 50 over format. 1. Bangladesh

Bangladesh cricket team tops the list of most 10-wicket defeats in one-day matches. Popularly known as “Tigers.” They are a regular member of ICC and play all game formats. Currently, they are placed 7th in the one-day format and 9th in both test and t20 internationals. They haven’t won any world cup or any other tournaments but have qualified for knockouts of the tournaments. 2. Zimbabwe

The second cricket-playing nation on our list is the Zimbabwe National Cricket team. They have not been the greatest team in the cricketing world. Sean Wiliams is the red-ball cricket captain, and Craig Ervine is the white-ball skipper. Some of the notable players of this team are Eddo Brandes, Kevin Curran, Sean Ervine, and Andy Flower. 3. India

The next cricket-playing nation is the Indian cricket team. Rohit Sharma is the skipper of the team in all formats. Team India won 2 World Cups, both in 1983 and 2011. It was a different format, i.e., one was 50 over, and the other was 60 over. The two World cup winning captains were Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni. If we consider the white ball format, team India is one of the most successful teams in cricket history. The team has suffered six ten-wicket defeats in ODI history.

4. Sri Lanka 

Sri Lanka represents all three formats of the game. Currently, the team is placed seventh in test matches and eighth in white ball format. In 1979, the team was adjourned as the champions in the world cup. In 2014, the team won the first t20 world cup. The Sri Lankan cricket team has faced ten wickets six times in one day.

5. England

The next cricket-playing nation is the England cricket team. One of the interesting facts about the team is that many players of the team have different origins of countries. They dominate every tournament and have won ICC tournaments back to back. They won the 2019 and 2022 world cup in 2 different formats. They have been handed over 10-wicket defeat six times.

6. West Indies

The next country on our list is the West Indies cricket team. They have been one of the most popular teams since cricket was started. They have dominated all over the world. They had a deadly pace attack, and batters included Vivian Richards, Brian Lara, etc. Over time, they lost their status and identity. Now, they are not the strongest team. They hold 8th position in T20 and test and 10th position in 50 overs format. They have 2 ODI world cups under their name and 2 T20 World cup under their names. Currently, they are good only in T20 formats. They have been handed over 10-wicket defeat 4 times.

7. Pakistan

The next country is the Pakistan Cricket team. They are often regarded as Men in Green. They are placed 6th in the test, 5th in one day, and 3rd in T20 internationals. They are one of the finest teams. They were famous for their pace bowling depth. They adjourned champions in 2009 in T20 format and 19in 50 over format. Babar Azam leads the team in the present scenario in all three formats. Teams often need more time to visit and have many playing issues due to the political disturbance in their country.

8. New Zealand 

The next playing nation is the New Zealand cricket team. They are one of the finest teams and currently give much competition in tournaments. Under the leadership of Brendon, Tim Southee, and Kane Williamson, they have grown a lot in this sport. They are placed at 5th position in the ranking list of ICC in test and T20 format and ranked 3rd in One day format. In 2021, they won the Test Mace too. 9. South Africa

The next country on our list is South Africa National Cricket team. They are commonly known as “Proteas.” They are full members of the ICC and play all game formats. They hold 4th position in tests, 6th in one day, and 3rd in T20 internationals. Temba Bavuma is the current captain in the test and ODI format, and Aiden Markram is the captain of the T20 side. To date, they haven’t won any world cup. In the cricketing world, they are popularly known as chokers as they fail to qualify for knockouts every tournament.

10. Australia

The last cricket-playing nation on our list is Australia. They are the most successful team if the sport of cricket is concerned. For ages, they have had lethal bowling attacks and, at the same time, brilliant batters. For some consecutive years, they defended the world cup trophy even. They dominated not only in their home ground but on foreign soil too. They hold 1st ranking in both tests and one day and 6th position in T20 internationals.
