T20 cricket is the most popular format in cricket and is widely watched by the spectators. Due to its massive popularity, several domestic T20 leagues have emerged in different cricket nations. IPL, for example, is the most prominent domestic league in the world. Similarly, the Big Bash League (BBL) is an Australian domestic league. BBL is a 20-over game which Cricket Australia established in 2011. It comprises eight teams based on the names of Australian cities. 1. 207 Runs

The first-highest batting partnership in BBL is of 207 Runs. Marcus Stoinis and Hilton Cartwright scored 207 Runs against Sydney Sixers in the 2020 BBL. It was a first-wicket partnership. The match took place in Melbourne. Stoinis and Cartwright played for Melbourne Stars. Marcus Stoinis was awarded the Player of the Match Trophy for scoring 147 runs. Sydney Sixers lost the match by 44 runs.

2. 203 Runs

Matthew Wade and D’Arcy Short scored 203 Runs as a first-wicket partnership in the 2020 BBL. The match took place between Hobart Hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers. Adelaide hosted this match. Due to the massive partnership of 203 Runs, Hobart Hurricanes could put the total of 217 runs. Wade received the Man of the Match Trophy for scoring 130 runs.

3. 172 Runs

The third-highest batting partnership is of 172 Runs. Luke Wright and Rob Quiney scored 172 Runs against Hobart Hurricanes. The game took place between Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars in Hobart in 2012. Hurricanes could not chase the target of 203 Runs and thus lost the match by 19. Wright won the Man of the Match Trophy for scoring 117 runs.

4. 171 Runs

The fourth-highest batting partnership is of 171 Runs. It was a first-wicket partnership. Shaun Marsh and Michael Klinger scored 171 Runs against Melbourne Renegades in the 2015 BBL. Marsh and Klinger played for Perth Scorchers. Klinger was awarded the Man of the Match Trophy for scoring 90 runs. Scorchers won the match by ten wickets.

5. 171 Runs

The fifth-highest batting partnership in BBL is again of 171 Runs. Alex Carey and Jake Weatherald scored 171 Runs against Hobart Hurricanes in the 2018 BBL. The game took place between Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes. Adelaide hosted the match and won by 11 runs. Carey scored a century in this match and thus won the Man of the March Trophy in recognition of it.

6. 167 Runs

James Vince and Josh Phillippe scored 167 Runs against Hobart Hurricanes in the 2019 BBL. They played for Sydney Sixers. It was a second-wicket partnership. Phillippe won the Man of the Match Trophy for scoring 86 runs. Sixers finished the match in the 18th over and thus won it by nine wickets.

7. 160 Runs

The next highest batting partnership in the BBL is 160 Runs. Jacques Kallis and Michael Hussey scored 160 Runs against Brisbane Heat. Kallis and Hussey played for Sydney Thunder. The game took place in December 2014 in Sydney. This considerable partnership helped the Sydney Thunder put the total of 208 runs. However, Brisbane Heat could not chase it and thus lost the match by 56 runs. Kallis scored 97 runs in this match.

8. 158 Runs

The eighth-highest batting partnership is of 158 Runs. Mathew Wade and D’Arcy Short scored 158 Runs against Adelaide Strikers. Wade and Short played for Hobart Hurricanes.  The game took place in Adelaide in 2019. Wade scored 84 runs in this match. Hurricanes finished the game in the 17th over and won by ten wickets.

9. 158 Runs

The next highest batting partnership in BBL is again of 158 Runs. It was a first-wicket partnership. Ben Cutting and Max Bryant scored 158 Runs against the mighty Melbourne Stars in the 2019 BBL. Cutting and Bryant played for the Brisbane Heat. Brisbane Heat quickly chased the target of 156 runs and won the match by ten wickets.

10. 157 Runs

The last batting partnership in this list is of 157 Runs. Zak Crawley and Aaron Hardie scored 157 Runs against Hobart Hurricanes. Crawley and Hardie played for Perth Scorchers.  The game took place in Perth in 2023. Jason Behrendorff took four wickets in this match and thus received the Man of the Match Trophy. Scorchers won the game by nine wickets.
