Many players have been loyal to their IPL teams. Some IPL players have struggled to establish themselves as long-term members of a team. After a season or two, they switch teams for a variety of reasons, such as poor performance, an injury, or the fact that they are no longer needed by a squad. Let us look at players who have been a part of the greatest number of IPL teams in all the seasons they have played.

1. Aaron Finch (8 Teams)

Aaron Finch, the captain of Australia's white-ball squad, has played for up to 8 IPL teams. After being selected by the Rajasthan Royals in 2010, he spent two years playing for the Delhi Daredevils (now the Capitals). Finch was subsequently signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad and Pune Warriors India. Gujarat Lions, Kings XI Punjab, and Mumbai Indians. In 2020, he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He continued playing for teams after that, including Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab, and Rising Pune Supergiants. From 2010 to 2016, Perera participated in 37 IPL games, amassing 422 runs and taking 31 wickets.

3. Parthiv Patel (6 Teams)

Parthiv Patel, a former keeper-batsman for India, has also played for six different teams. He started his career playing with Chennai Super Kings, where he enjoyed great success. Following that, he changed teams, playing for the Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, and Royal Challengers Bangalore. He scored 2,848 runs in 139 matches to cap off his IPL career.

4. Ishant Sharma (6 Teams)

The seasoned Indian bowler also competed for six IPL teams. With the Kolkata Knight Riders, coached by Sourav Ganguly, he began his IPL career. He then played for the Punjab Kings, Rising Pune Supergiants, Deccan Chargers, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Before failing to find a buyer in the mega auction, he played for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2021 season.

5. Irfan Pathan (6 Teams)

Irfan Pathan, a former all-rounder for India, played for six different IPL teams during the course of his career. In 2008, he began playing with Kings XI Punjab, presently known as Punjab Kings. After that, he represented the Gujarat Lions, Chennai Super Kings, Rising Pune Supergiant, Delhi Daredevils, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. In total, the 37-year-old played 103 IPL games, notching 80 wickets and 1139 runs.

6. Yuvraj Singh (6 Teams)

Yuvraj Singh, a different former all-rounder for India, also played for six IPL teams. He started as the franchise captain for Punjab. Later, he played for the Pune Warriors, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Yuvraj played 132 games in the IPL between 2008 and 2019, taking 36 wickets and scoring 2,750 runs.

7. Dinesh Kartik (6 Teams)

Veteran batter-wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has currently played for six IPL teams. Karthik started up in the IPL with the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). He then represented the Gujarat Lions, Mumbai Indians, and Royal Challengers Bangalore in addition to the Punjab franchise. He played for Kolkata Knight Riders from 2018 to 2021, where he even served as team captain before turning the team over to Eoin Morgan. For the IPL 2022, Karthik will rejoin RCB. The seasoned cricketer has a strike rate of 129.72 and 4046 runs from 213 games.

8. Robin Uthappa (6 Teams)

The IPL has included Robin Uthappa in the past. He has also played for Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Pune Warriors India, Royal Challengers Bangalore, with whom he won the trophy, and Mumbai Indians. Unexpectedly, CSK chose Uthappa as their 2021 player. Uthappa joined a small group of athletes who triumphed in the IPL while playing for multiple franchises. The 36-year-old has scored 4722 runs at a strike rate of 130.15 with 25 half-centuries during the course of his 193-match IPL career. It was not surprising that CSK re-signed him at the IPL 2022 super auction given the depth of experience.

9. Brendon Mccullum (5 Teams)

Brendon McCullum, a former captain of New Zealand, will be remembered for the rest of the time for scoring an incredible century in the inaugural IPL game between KKR and RCB. When playing for KKR, he delivered some noteworthy hits. Later, he also represented Chennai Super Kings, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Gujarat Lions, and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The legendary Kiwi player finished the IPL with 2880 runs in 109 games at a strike rate of 131.7 and hundreds to his credit.

10. Ashish Nehra (5 Teams)

Ashish Nehra, a former left-arm seamer for India, has played for five different T20 league sides. Nehra started his professional baseball career with the Delhi Daredevils before moving on to play for the Mumbai Indians, Pune Warriors, Chennai Super Kings, and even Sunrisers Hyderabad. At CSK, he shared some special moments with MS Dhoni. In the IPL from 2008 to 2017, Nehra competed. In 88 matches, he took 106 wickets at an average of 23.54 and a strike rate of 18. Nehra's best IPL performance was 4 for 10.
